Welcome to the Pregnancy Outreach Program! We are proud to offer a unique blend of support for birthing persons in all stages of pregnancy and babies up to 6 months!
About us
The Pregnancy Outreach Program (POP) offers free and confidential support during pregnancy and continued until your baby turns 6 months old.
Our free services include a weekly drop-in group, individual counselling, free prenatal vitamins and vitamin D for infants, food hampers, prenatal classes, breastfeeding support and monthly cooking classes; along with other supports to help women have a healthy pregnancy and have a gentle transition into parenthood.
Our team consist of a nurse (RN), a nutritionist (RD) and outreach workers who provide support based on the individual needs of program participants.
By offering pregnant women and new families non-judgemental support, we assist program participants to have a healthy pregnancy, to access resources as needed, to build a network in the community and receive unbiased information. Through collaboration with other services in the community, the pregnancy outreach program provides optimum access to services for program participants.
The Pregnancy Outreach Program is part of the British Columbia Association of Pregnancy Outreach Programs and is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
